1. Introduction and Who We Are

This website, including the pages for our kitchen services, our contact counter and this policy, is operated by AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC. The developer name under which this website is published is Al Toque Food. The legal entity that runs the kitchen is AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC, and the business address is 142 W 4450 S APT 201, Murray - 84107-3336, United States (US). When this policy refers to the Company, we, us or our, it means AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC.

We are a Venezuelan arepa kitchen and catering counter. We press arepas fresh, all day, and we also prepare cachapas, empanadas, weekend party trays, lunch combos and event catering, and we teach cooking classes. Because we take orders directly from guests, we sometimes receive personal information such as a name, an email address, a phone number or the details of an event. This policy describes what we do with that information and what rights you hold over it.

We wrote this policy in plain language on purpose. If a section is unclear, you are welcome to write to orders@altoquefood.hair and ask for a plainer explanation. We will answer in the same language you use and will not charge you for that request.

This policy covers the website at altoquefood.hair, the contact form on that website, and the messages, orders and records that pass between a guest and our kitchen counter. It does not cover a third party website that we do not operate, even where we link to that website from one of our pages. It also does not cover information that a guest gives to another business that the guest chooses to use, such as a delivery service or a payment provider that the guest engages directly.

We operate a small kitchen, and we treat privacy with the same care we apply to a batch of masa. We collect little, we explain why, and we keep what we hold tidy and purposeful. The sections below set out the detail of that approach so that a guest can make an informed choice before sending any information to us.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we genuinely need to answer a question or to prepare an order. The categories of information we may collect are described below.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the information we collect for a small number of clear purposes. We use it to answer your questions, to prepare and confirm your order, to plan a weekend party tray or a catering counter, to arrange a cooking class, to send an invoice where one is needed, and to keep a record of the work so that the same standard can be repeated for a returning guest.

We may also use an email address to follow up on an order that is already in progress, for example to confirm a pickup time or to ask about a filling that was left unclear. We do not send marketing messages to a guest who has not asked for them, and we never sell an email address or a phone number to another business.

Technical information is used to protect the website, to diagnose faults and to improve the layout and content of our pages. It is not used to build a personal profile of any individual visitor and is not combined with the order information that we hold.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the law of a jurisdiction requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following grounds. We process information to perform a contract when we prepare an order you have requested and when we communicate with you about that order. We process information on the basis of your consent when you voluntarily send a message through the contact form or sign up to hear from the kitchen. We process information for our legitimate interests when we keep basic records, protect the website and improve our service, provided that those interests do not override your rights. We process information to comply with a legal obligation when a law requires us to keep a record or to respond to a lawful request.

You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to orders@altoquefood.hair. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before the withdrawal, and it does not prevent us from keeping a record where a law requires it.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website is a simple informational site. It does not use advertising cookies and it does not use cookies to track you across other websites. If a small cookie is used, it is used only to remember a basic preference or to keep the site functioning correctly during a visit. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and the site will continue to work for you.

Where a third party tool is used to understand general traffic, that tool reports aggregate figures rather than personal identities. We do not permit a third party to use the information it collects on our behalf for its own advertising purposes.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent personal information. We do not trade personal information for marketing lists. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.

When we share information with a service provider, we limit the purpose to the service that provider performs and we do not give that provider permission to use the information for any other reason.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as a law requires. Contact messages are kept for a reasonable period so that we can answer follow up questions and remember a returning guest. Order records are kept for the period needed for bookkeeping and tax purposes. Technical logs are kept for a short period and are then removed or aggregated.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or we make it anonymous so that it can no longer be linked to a person. If you ask us to delete information and no law requires us to keep it, we will delete it within a reasonable time and confirm that the deletion is done.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. These steps include limiting access to the people who need it to do their work, using reputable providers for hosting and email, and keeping the devices that hold information updated and password protected. We review our practices from time to time so that they continue to match the size and the nature of the kitchen.

No method of transmission over the internet and no method of storage is perfectly secure. We cannot promise absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and we act quickly if we learn of a problem. If a breach affects your information and the law requires us to tell you, we will tell you without undue delay and explain what happened and what we are doing about it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may hold some or all of the following rights. You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you. You may ask us to correct information that is wrong. You may ask us to delete information that we no longer need. You may ask us to limit or to stop a particular use. You may ask for a copy of your information in a portable form. You may object to a use that is based on our legitimate interests.

To use a right, write to orders@altoquefood.hair with enough detail for us to identify you and to understand what you are asking. We will respond within the time the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for making a request, and we will not charge a fee unless a request is clearly excessive or repeated.

10. Privacy for Children

Our kitchen and our website are meant for adults who place orders and organize events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If you believe that a child has sent us personal information, please write to orders@altoquefood.hair so that we can remove it. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without the required consent, we will delete that information as quickly as we can.

A parent or a guardian who wants to review or to remove information about a child may contact us at the same email address and we will help directly.

11. International Visitors

This website is operated from the United States (US), and the information we collect is stored in the United States (US). If you visit from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States (US), where the privacy rules may differ from those in your own country. Where a transfer requires a safeguard, we take reasonable steps to put one in place.

By using this website and by sending us a message, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States (US) for the purposes described in this policy.

12. Links to Other Websites

Our pages may contain links to other websites, such as a map service or a social page. Those websites are not controlled by AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit before you share personal information there. We are not responsible for the content or the practices of a website that we do not operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time so that it stays accurate as the kitchen grows and as the law changes. When we make a change, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to the attention of guests who have an order or an open conversation with us.

We encourage you to review this page when you return to the website so that you always know how we handle information. Your continued use of the website after a change means that you accept the updated policy.

14. Contact Us About Privacy

If you have a question, a concern or a request about privacy, please reach the counter at AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC. You can write to orders@altoquefood.hair or call +12236237591. You can also write to us by mail at 142 W 4450 S APT 201, Murray - 84107-3336, United States (US). We read every message and we will answer as quickly as the kitchen allows.

15. Business Hours and Response Times

Our counter answers messages during normal business hours. Monday to Thursday the counter is open from 10:00 to 19:00, on Friday from 10:00 to 20:00, on Saturday from 09:00 to 20:00, and on Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. A message that arrives outside these hours is read on the next working period. A message about an event that is already booked is given priority so that no order is delayed.

We ask for patience during the busiest weekend periods, when the plincha is running and the counter is full. Every message is kept in order and none is discarded.

16. How We Handle Order Notes and Recipes

When you send an order note, we may keep it so that we can repeat a favorite filling or remember a dietary preference for a later visit. We do not publish an order note and we do not share it with another guest. If you would rather that we not keep a note, tell us and we will mark the record as a one time order and remove it when the order is complete.

Recipes that the kitchen develops remain the property of AL TOQUE VENEZUELAN FOOD LLC. A recipe sheet that we hand to a guest of a cooking class is given for personal use at home and may not be republished or sold without our written permission.

17. Do Not Track and Browser Signals

Some browsers can send a signal that asks a website not to track a visitor. Because this website does not track visitors across other websites and does not run advertising trackers, there is no separate tracking to switch off. If you set a do not track signal, the site will continue to work normally for you.

18. Consent and Your Choices

By using this website and by sending information to the kitchen, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. You may choose not to provide personal information, and you can still read every public page of the website. If you choose not to provide the details that an order needs, we may not be able to prepare that order or to contact you about it.

If you would like to limit the way we use your information, write to orders@altoquefood.hair and explain what you would prefer. We will do our best to meet your choice while still keeping the records that a law requires.
